What do a Kanun, an Electric Guitar and a Piano sound like when played together? What happens when they are played by forward-thinking, improvising musicians? Ones that like to test the outer limits of what is sonically possible, while still respecting the rich and varied traditions that have shaped the sound of these instruments? Sofia Labropoulou, Jordina Millà and Kenji Herbert will attempt to answer these questions and pose many more in their musical conversations, drawing on their personal stories, curiosity and intuitive, empathetic communication.

P R I S M A is an initiative of the Salzburg-based pianist Jordina Millà. This initiative arises from the desire to make the discipline of improvisation in different expressions and contemporary musical language visible in the Salzburg scene and audience. PRISMA invites international artists throughout the year to bring this art form closer to the public in the oenm studio. The guest artists have a common passion: The discipline of improvisation.
