The four renowned “magicians”/musicians of Alchemia Ocean transform mysterious resonances of the past into a contemporary musical language beyond cultural borders. With a unique instrumentation – Michel Godard on the serpent, Sofia Labropoulou on the kanun, Matthias Loibner on hurdy-gurdy and Lucas Niggli with his percussion universe – they explore the sounds of their instruments to unexpected limits, evoking a deep lyrical ambience where explosive moments are handled with delicate interplay.
